Description
This is a continuation course for students who have taken Searcher Reaches Land’s Limits (Section 1 and 2).
Mind itself has rarely been the subject of serious observation and sustained inquiry that can reveal a way of understanding that dissolves our problems and blossoms into creative freedom. Tarthang Tulku’s seminal book, Revelations of Mind, is a rare exception, a contemporary teaching for liberating the modern mind. This six-week course will work from Searcher Reaches Lands Limits, an in depth commentary on Tarthang Rinpoche’s Revelations of Mind.
This flagship course at Dharma College explores how we construct experience moment to moment, leading to a sense of constriction and alienation, and how we can allow our innate freedom to manifest in the center of experience. It is also a powerful call for action to heal our emotional and cognitive embodiment and so be released to help others in an increasingly fractured world. Combining core elements of Asian wisdom traditions with modern analytical insight, this seminal work is a life changing experience for all those who engage with it.
Format
Classes meet online for six weeks, for one and a half hours a week. Classes are recorded and you will have access to the recordings for your personal use only. Each week, there will be a lecture (approximately one hour) followed by experiential practices and discussion. Weekly handouts will provide inspirational readings and the instructions you need to continue your experiential learning at home. An online chat room gives you the optional ability to meet and dialog with your fellow students.
